NITDA CONFIRMS UNION BANK AS NDPR COMPLIANT

Lagos, Nigeria – Following the recent Nigeria Data Protection Regulation audit carried out in 2021, The National Information Technology Development Agency (‘NITDA’) has listed Union Bank as NDPR compliant in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation requirements for 2021-2022.

The audit, conducted by a Data Protection Compliance Organisation (DPCO) licensed by NITDA is aimed at reviewing organisations’ compliance level in line with the provisions of the NDPR.

According to the agency, every company whose name appears on the compliance list is verified to be NDPR compliant, indicating their commitment to data protection and privacy. This should provide some level of comfort, safety, and assurance to their customers and relevant stakeholders when dealing with them.
