This is the only source of water supply in Daurawa village located in Ungogo local government area in Kano State where humans and animals drink from. The village is home to about 1500 settlers with 200 houses. Whenever the stream dries up, the villagers travel over 10km to buy water. A distance they must also cover to access the nearest primary school or health center. They go days without bathing or washing their clothes thereby increasing their risk of contracting various diseases.
