Making it in Nigeria requires a great deal of determination and resilience, qualities which without a shadow of a doubt drives this young man. In a world full of corruption and scams, he chose to tow the honest path by making a living with his keke as his trusty side kick.
To keep his business running, he has had to pay monthly dues and levies, face local government people who often take away the little he makes, while taking care of his family. In such situations, it’s very easy to become an Uncle Thomas and give up, but he never did. Every day, he kept his hustle strong, and continued to push and believe and with Union Bank as his bank, his business got bigger and better. The last time we saw him, he had already scaled up and begun his own taxi business. Now, everybody knows him as Alhaji Taxi. To him and every hard-working Nigerian out there, we say “This business no go spoil for your hand.”
